The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) states that hair care products can cause acne and breakouts. They recommend that people use hair products that are labeled as non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores) since clogged pores can lead to breakouts and acne. SEEN hair care products are clinically tested to be non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores).
Creating non-comedogenic products is about the magic of the formulation and not about any one specific ingredient. It’s about how ingredients mix together to create a product that respects the skin and the pores. It’s an art and a science since small changes to a formulation can change whether it will or won’t clog pores.
It took us 4 years of research and testing to get our formulations just right. We’re proud to have been granted 2 patents for non-comedogenic hair and scalp care formulations and we’re even more excited about helping people to feel and be their best selves.
For most people, the benefits from using SEEN products won’t be instantaneous. Your skin will take some time to respond. While you may see results as soon as 1 week after starting to use SEEN products, it can take up to 2-3 weeks to see happier and healthier-looking skin. SEEN products are best used as a regimen.
SEEN works best when you give it a few washes (3-4) for your hair and scalp to enjoy the full moisture benefits of SEEN products. It can take time to get rid of build up from other products.
We've heard feedback from people that their hair feels fuller after using SEEN, which we attribute to the absence of silicone, which can weigh down the hair. This may be especially true for people with thin or fine hair. Occasionally some people find SEEN drying initially and then they love it after 3-4 washes. We think it's from getting rid of the silicone build up and the time it takes for the scalp and hair to reach a new moisture balance. Some people also benefit from using a bit more of our conditioner and leaving it in longer for increased moisture.
Fragrance can cause skin irritation or skin allergy, though not everyone with sensitive skin reacts to fragrance. Once you remove an irritant or an allergen, your skin can take a few weeks to improve. In some cases you may need to see a dermatologist as well to resolve the rash from the irritant or allergen.
Many people (including us!) have specific products we’re loyal to. However, the reason we recommend using SEEN products as a regimen is because the skin-caring benefits of SEEN products, to some extent, depend on the last product that you put on your hair. Using end-to-end products that are non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores) is ideal.

SEEN uses a carefully curated collection of skin-caring ingredients. SEEN products are formulated without gluten, parabens, phthalates, sulfates, dyes, silicones and pore-clogging oils.
We do not test our finished products on animals, except of course humans who volunteer to test our products.
Some of our components come from outside the U.S. (e.g., our bottle cap), but all of our SEEN liquids (SEEN Shampoo, SEEN Conditioner, SEEN Blow-Out Crème) are formulated in the U.S.

Our auto-delivery subscription service allows you to receive one or multiple full-size SEEN products at a consistent frequency with FREE shipping. This way, you never run out of SEEN and don’t have to worry about paying for shipping.
Please note that you are not obligated to subscribe for auto-delivery of SEEN products when making a purchase. You can purchase products individually or opt-in for a subscription. By default, you are not subscribed to SEEN products. In order to subscribe, simply check the “SUBSCRIBE & SAVE” checkbox on the CART page as you checkout.
Once you have subscribed, you will be in complete control of your subscription. You can change the products you receive, the frequency you receive them, or even your next shipping date at any time. In addition, you can update your address, cancel your subscription, or skip a shipment at any time simply by logging into your account.

orders & shipping
With each order you place, you’ll receive a confirmation email that allows you to check the status of your order through your online account.
With every order placed, you will receive a shipping confirmation email complete with tracking number (if supported by the carrier) that allows you to track the whereabouts of your order.
Please note that it often takes the service carrier 24-48 hours to scan a package and then update the tracking information within their system. Rest assured that your order has shipped and is on its way to you! You should be able to see an update within 2 business days of shipment.
We currently only ship within the United States and to Canada. On a select basis for larger orders, we will ship outside the U.S. and Canada.
Shipping is FREE on all orders within the continental United States over $50 or for subscription (auto-delivery) purchases over $25.
We ship out all orders within one to two business days.
Within the United States, your package will take 5-7 business days to arrive. If you purchase expedited shipping, your package will take approximately 3 business days to arrive.
We love the hair products we make and think you will, too. Please note that it can take 2-3 weeks of consistent use to see skin benefits.
If you don’t enjoy your first package from SEEN, let us know so that we can help you return or exchange your products within 30 days of receipt for a full refund.
Note that we do NOT accept returns/refunds for SEEN Shampoo Liter size and SEEN Conditioner Liter size. These items are for regular users of SEEN who prefer a more cost-effective and environmentally-friendly way to purchase their favorite shampoo and conditioner. If you are new to SEEN, please try our smaller size SEEN offerings to see if you enjoy the experience.
