Is SEEN ok for people with a sensitive scalp?
SEEN products are safe and gentle even for people with scalp sensitivities. All SEEN products are tested to ensure they are non-comedogenic (won't clog pores) and non-irritating. If you experience any issues, please consult a dermatologist or doctor.
Is SEEN ok to use if I have eczema?
SEEN is clinically proven to be non-irritating, which is a benefit for people with eczema. Consider choosing fragrance free SEEN as fragrance can be an irritant or skin allergen for some.
Is SEEN color-safe?
Yes, all SEEN hair products undergo testing to confirm they are color-safe.
Is SEEN safe for pregnant women?
To ensure safety for pregnant women, SEEN does not contain sulfates, parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde/formaldehyde releasers, or dyes. Fragrance free SEEN, which has no fragrance or masking fragrances, is also available. SEEN products are vegan and cruelty-free.
Is SEEN ok to use while breastfeeding?
SEEN has no ingredients that would be worrisome in pregnancy or breastfeeding.

How do SEEN products work?
The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) states that hair care products can cause acne and breakouts. They recommend that people use hair products that are labeled as non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores) since clogged pores can lead to breakouts and acne. SEEN Hair Care products are clinically tested to be non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores) as well as non-irritating.
Does SEEN Shampoo lather?
Yes! Despite being sulfate-free, SEEN Shampoo lathers well. It's one of the things we hear the most about the Shampoo, whether scented or fragrance free. Many people also note that "a little goes along way" with the Shampoo.
What can my skin expect once I start using SEEN?
For most people, the benefits from using SEEN products won’t be instantaneous. Your skin will take some time to respond. While you may see results as soon as 1 week after starting to use SEEN products, it can take up to 2-3 weeks to see happier and healthier-looking skin. SEEN products are best used as a regimen.
Does it take time for my hair and scalp to adjust when I switch to SEEN?
SEEN works best when you give it a few washes (3-4) for your hair and scalp to enjoy the full moisture benefits of SEEN products. It can take time to get rid of build up from other products.
How does the absence of silicone affect the hair experience?
We've heard feedback from people that their hair feels fuller after using SEEN, which we attribute to the absence of silicone, which can weigh down the hair. This may be especially true for people with thin or fine hair. Occasionally some people find SEEN drying initially and then they love it after 3-4 washes. We think it's from getting rid of the silicone build up and the time it takes for the scalp and hair to reach a new moisture balance. Some people also benefit from using a bit more of our conditioner and leaving it in longer for increased moisture.
Why are SEEN products best used as a regimen?
Many people (including us!) have specific products we’re loyal to. However, the reason we recommend using SEEN products as a regimen is because the skin-caring benefits of SEEN products, to some extent, depend on the last product that you put on your hair. Using end-to-end products that are non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores) is ideal.
Can I keep using my other favorite products, too?
Yes! But for best results, make sure they are also labeled as non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores).
What does "hair care with skin care benefits" mean?
When we say that SEEN is hair care that also offers skin care benefits, it means that SEEN has been clinically tested to be non-comedogenic (won't clog pores), non-irritating, and includes an ingredient with skin-soothing properties.
When should I use SEEN Blow-Out Creme vs Curly Creme?
SEEN Blow-out Creme and SEEN Curly Creme can both be used to air-dry or heat style. They reduce frizz, add shine, have UV/pollution protection for hair, and heat protection up to 450 degrees F.
SEEN Curly Creme also has shea butter cetyl esters, so it adds more moisture. SEEN Curly Creme is a bit heavier than SEEN Blow-Out Creme. If you have finer curly hair some people prefer SEEN Blow-Out Creme to air dry and go curly.

What does the fragrance smell like in SEEN Shampoo, Conditioner, and styling cremes?
The SEEN fragrance is often described as smelling "clean" and "fresh." For those of you who are fragrance connoisseurs, here are some additional details - top note: apple dew, orange peel, leafy greens; midnote: soft floracy, lily of the valley, crushed violet; drydown: white musks, creamy sandalwood, rosewater. If this still doesn't help, just ask us for a sample.
Is SEEN fragrance free actually fragrance free?
Fragrance free SEEN products are free of fragrance mix I & II as well as masking agents.
How soon after using fragrance-free SEEN will you see results?
Fragrance can cause skin irritation or skin allergy, though not everyone with sensitive skin reacts to fragrance. Once you remove an irritant or an allergen, your skin can take a few weeks to improve. In some cases you may need to see a dermatologist as well to resolve the rash from the irritant or allergen.
Does fragrance free SEEN use masking fragrances?
Fragrance free SEEN has no fragrance or masking fragrances.

Do your products contain gluten, paraben, phthalates, sulfates, dyes or silicones?
SEEN uses a carefully curated collection of skin-caring ingredients. SEEN products are formulated without gluten, parabens, phthalates, sulfates, dyes, silicones and pore-clogging oils.
Are Shea Butter Cetyl Esters comedogenic?
Though there is conflicting information on the web, we actually don't consider shea butter comedogenic. We include shea butter cetyl esters, a part of the Shea butter, in some products. In addition to looking at individual ingredients, we also consider the way ingredients combine, which is why it’s important to test finished formulas. All SEEN hair products are clinically proven to be non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores) and non-irritating.
Does SEEN have limonene or linalool?
Fragrance free SEEN does not have limonene or linalool.
What pH is SEEN?

Where are SEEN products made?
Some of our components come from outside the U.S. (e.g., our bottle cap), but most of our components and all of our SEEN liquids (SEEN Shampoo, SEEN Conditioner, SEEN Blow-Out Creme) are formulated in the U.S.
Are SEEN products tested on animals?
No! We are proudly vegan and cruelty-free. We do not test our finished products on animals, except of course humans who volunteer to test our products.
What tests do SEEN products go through?
We set a high bar for introducing new products, which is why it can take over 25 iterations before we finalize a formula (looking at you, SEEN Curly Creme...). Throughout the development process, our founder, Dr. Iris Rubin, applies the new product directly to her face to ensure it won't cause her to break out. We also consult our world-class formulators (who have launched some of the most respected skin care products on the market), as well as top allergen specialists to incorporate the latest thinking on ingredients. We then subject SEEN products to clinical testing to ensure they are non-comedogenic (won't clog pores) and non-irritating. Once they pass that testing, our products are then put through a regimen of hair tests to confirm claims related to the specific product, e.g. frizz control, anti-breakage, heat protection, color-safety, etc.

What does it mean to subscribe to SEEN products?
Our Auto Renew subscription service enables you to set up delivery of your favorite SEEN products at a consistent frequency that you can set plus you will receive discounted pricing. This way, you never run out of SEEN.
Please note that you are not obligated to subscribe for Auto Renew of SEEN products when making a purchase. You can purchase products individually or opt-in for a subscription. By default, you are not subscribed to SEEN products. In order to subscribe, simply check the “SUBSCRIBE & SAVE” checkbox on the CART page as you checkout.
Once you have subscribed, you will be in complete control of your subscription. You can change the products you receive, the frequency you receive them, or even your next shipping date at any time. How can I check the status of my order?
With each order you place, you’ll receive a confirmation email that allows you to check the status of your order through your online account. Please expect delivery on all orders from 5 - 8 business days.
How can I check on my delivery?
With every order placed, you will receive a shipping confirmation email complete with tracking number (if supported by the carrier) that allows you to track the whereabouts of your order.
Please note that it often takes the service carrier 24-48 hours to scan a package and then update the tracking information within their system. Rest assured that your order has shipped and is on its way to you! You should be able to see an update within 2 business days of shipment.
Do you ship to the EU?
We have ceased direct shipments to the EU effective June 25, 2021 due to new requirements set by the EU requiring all imports from outside the EU to be subject to VAT and adding substantial compliance requirements to non-EU vendors (like us). We anticipate returning to shipping to customers in the EU but are not yet able to provide a specific timeline.
What is your return policy?
We love the hair products we make and think you will too! Please note that it can take 2-3 weeks of consistent use to enjoy the full hair and skin benefits of using SEEN.
As hard as it is for us to imagine, if you don’t enjoy your first purchase of a SEEN product, we offer free returns within 30 days of receipt. Please note that we do not provide refunds or exchanges on: purchases of liter products, e.g. Shampoo, Conditioner, Deeper Conditioner; repeat purchases of a product, i.e. only the first purchase is eligible for a refund or exchange; shipping fees.
If you are new to SEEN or purchasing a product for the first time, you may want to consider trying a sample, or getting one of our minis, to see if you like it.

How long will it take to receive my order?
We ship out all orders within one to two business days.
Within the United States, we ship via FedEx and delivery is averaging 5-8 business days from the time the package is handed off to FedEx. That said, delivery can take longer based on weather and other events outside our control.

How do I sign up for the rewards program?
Signing up is easy! Simply create an account and enter your name, email, and password. It’s free to join and you will automatically be signed up to receive emails with insider access to sales, promotions, and all of our newest drops. If you currently have an account or email subscription with us - you’ve already been enrolled in our rewards program so you can kick back, sign in, and see what points you've earned!
What are the advantages of becoming a rewards member?
Our rewards program is a tiered program that allows members to earn more perks the more they engage with us. Members receive rewards points for each purchase, that can then be redeemed towards the cost of future purchases. You also earn points for sharing with friends, following us on social media, leaving product reviews, and are even gifted with bonus points just for having a birthday! You can view the full list of perks on the rewards page.
I already have an account. Do I need to create a new one to earn rewards?
We took care of that for you! All customers with an active account were automatically enrolled in our rewards program. If you have had more than one customer account with us, please note that you will need to pick one to continue with. Contact customer service by emailing support@helloseen.com and our team will be happy to assist you with merging your accounts.
Where can I find all of my rewards account info?
The rewards page is your roadmap to all your points and perks. You can access all your info by logging in and visiting our rewards page.
Will I receive points for purchases I made prior to creating my rewards account?
For any purchases that were placed after December 28th, 2021, you're in luck! We're holding your points for you so all you have to do is create an account with the same email address that you used to checkout as a guest to access those points.
What if I have an old email address or multiple email addresses and want to combine my accounts & earnings?
Contact customer service by emailing support@helloseen.com and our team will be happy to assist you with merging your accounts.
Does it cost anything to begin earning points?
Absolutely not! Sign up is 100% free, and it will never cost you anything to earn points.
Can rewards points be used with other promotional discounts?
No. Rewards points cannot be used with other promotional discounts when placing an order.
EARNING & REDEEMING
How do I redeem my points?
For one-time purchases, simply login to your account and use the dropdown at checkout to redeem your points. For first-time subscription purchases, login to the Rewards Page and scroll down to Redeem My Points; click redeem for the amount that you want to trade in and copy/paste the code at checkout. For applying a Rewards discount to an existing subscription, login to the Rewards Page and scroll down to Redeem My Points; click redeem for the amount that you want to trade in, and copy/paste the code into your subscription portal.
How do points convert to dollars?
100 points equals $10.00.
Higher tiers in the VIP tier program earn more points at a quicker rate, but 100 points always = $10.00.
Is there a limit to how many points I can earn?
Nope! That’s the best part about being a rewards member! You will always have an opportunity to earn more points by shopping with us, engaging with our brand and community online, and through seasonal sales.
Is there a limit to how many rewards points I can use per order?
The limit for reward redemption for each order is 500 points/$50.
Can I return my order if I redeemed rewards points for a discount?
You can return your order but you would not receive the points back from the Rewards discount that you redeemed. The amount of points you might earn from what you spent on the purchase post-discount will also be adjusted to reflect how much you ended up spending post-return. For example, if you use a $10 coupon (that you traded 100 points for) towards a $100 purchase that you decide to return, the $90 balance charged to your payment method will be refunded on your credit card but the 90 points that you earned would be deducted. The 100 points that you traded for the $10 discount would not be returned.
I've earned points/VIP tier with my last purchase, but now I want to return it. What will happen to my reward?
If you return a purchase that bumped you up into a higher VIP tier but ultimately decide to return it, you will return to your original tier.
Do points ever expire?
Points will expire after 12 months if you do not earn or redeem any points.
How can I get a birthday reward?
Add your birthday under ways to earn points on the rewards page. On your birthday we will add 50 birthday bonus points directly into your Rewards account!
I signed up for the Birthday Bonus but I didn’t receive it?
Happy Birthday! We’re so glad that you have chosen to celebrate with us through our rewards program. In order for you to receive your birthday bonus on your birthday, you must register your birthday at least 30 days prior to your birthday. If your birthday falls between the day that you registered and the 30 day waiting period afterwards, you will receive your birthday bonus 30 days after your registration. This delay is only applicable for the first year that you signed up. All successive birthday bonuses will be emailed to you on your birthday. If you register your birthday through your rewards account any time after it has passed in the current calendar year, rewards will not be added to your account until the day of your birthday in the following year. Remember, the birthday reward is determined by the Rewards member tier that you are part of on the date of your birthday. If it has been more than 30 days since you registered for your birthday reward and you still have not received the additional points in your account, please contact support@helloseen.com and we will be happy to assist you.
How does the anniversary reward work?
On the day you join SEEN, you'll get 25 "Create an Account" points. Every year after that, we'll add 50 Anniversary points to your account automatically. It's that easy!
VIP PROGRAM
How is my VIP tier determined?
Your VIP tier is determined by the amount you spend in a rolling 12-month period that resets every time you earn your way into a new tier. You are automatically enrolled in our Member tier upon making your first purchase or creating an account. In order to reach our Insider tier, you must spend at least $200 within 12 months. In order to reach our VIP level, you must spend $350. Once you earn your way into a new tier, you have 12 months to spend that same amount to keep your tier or you can keep spending to level up! As you move up in the VIP Tiers, you will retain all benefits from your previous tier.
How do I know which Rewards tier I am currently a member of?
When you are signed into your account, your rewards homepage will list all of the rewards tiers. Your current tier and perks will be highlighted with a box around it.
How will I know when I have reached a new tier?
When your total spend cross a tier threshold you will receive an email welcoming you into the new tier.

TROUBLESHOOTING
I should have earned points for a purchase/incentive but I didn’t see my account balance change. Did I get credit?
Yes! You work hard to earn points and we want you to feel confident that all of your points are right where they should be . . . in your account! The first thing to note is that there may be a delay in our systems communicating and points could take anywhere from minutes to several hours to appear in your account. However, if you feel like you have earned points but they are not showing up in your account you can also troubleshoot it with these tricks:
1. Try to refresh your browser.
2. Try to log out and then back in to your account.
3. Check your ‘Rewards history’ in your Rewards account to see if the points were added without you realizing it.
Your ‘Rewards history’ will show you the number of points earned, how and when they were earned, as well as any redemptions of points made on your account.If you still feel like your points balance is not accurate you can contact our team at support@helloseen.com and they will look into the issue for you.
I received an error message when referring friends through the email referral box. What went wrong?
We are sorry to hear that. There are a couple of scenarios that could have triggered the error message. The first possible scenario is that there was a mistype in one of the email addresses that you entered or you forgot to put commas between multiple emails to separate them. To eliminate confusion over what occurred, we recommend that you go back and enter each email address one at a time, clicking ‘send’ after each one rather than uploading them all at once. If you are still having problems using the email referrals we recommend using your unique referral link or sharing the referral through Facebook, Twitter, or Messenger to receive credit. Please contact our support team at support@helloseen.com if you need further assistance.
I’ve referred several friends but haven’t received any points for it. Is there something else I need to do?
Thank you so much for sharing us with your friends! We really appreciate it. Referred friends must be a first time customer in order for both of you to receive the referral rewards. In addition, the referral must be initiated through our rewards referral box on your personal rewards page or through the use of your unique referral link also found there. Points will be added to your account as soon as your friend completes their first purchase on our website. When this happens you will receive an email letting you know that one of your referrals made a purchase using your code and that a reward was added to your account. You can also check your ‘Rewards History’ to see a list of any points that you have received for referrals.
