I had three washes so far. It is too early to see the effect on my skin. But oh boy, doesn’t work amazing on my hair. First of all I have a very long strait thick hair. I always need so much conditioner to brush my hair and after I used to lost so much hair. But with seen conditioner, I don’t need much and so easy to untangle my hair and I don’t lose so much hair. It makes my hair very soft and my hair even with three washes looks so healthy and shiny. I really love this product and I highly recommend SEEN to everybody. Smells amazing too!

IN-DEPTH CURLY GIRL REVIEW: Shampoo, Conditioner, Blow-Out Creme

I bought the trio of travel-size products to see how my hair/skin would react before taking the plunge to buy the liter sizes. For reference, I have fine-to-medium strands, high-density (a lot of hair on my head), mixed-porosity (lower porosity in the front half of my head/around the edges, higher porosity at the back of my head), 2B/2C/3A wavy-curly hair. I typically wash my hair every 2-3 days or so. Before starting SEEN, I was previously using SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine shampoo alternated with a prescription ketoconazole shampoo for my scalp health, and alternating between Curls Blueberry Bliss Leave-In conditioner and KC Knot Today Leave-In conditioner depending on whether my hair needed a protein boost. I've been following the Curly Girl Method for the past two years or so, which has been amazing for my hair, but has absolutely WRECKED my skin. I'm 27 years old, and in the last two years, I have developed pretty significant acne on my cheeks, cheekbones, chin, jaw, and some on my forehead, chest, and shoulders, all of which leaves behind dark scars. Before starting the CGM, I would only have a few small, occasional breakouts here and there. I was at my wits' end with my acne, but I still wanted to take care of my hair, so it was really important to me to find a sulfate- & silicone-free shampoo and conditioner that wouldn't cause breakouts! Within just a day or two of using the SEEN shampoo and conditioner, I noticed fewer blackheads and less inflammation on my face, which was great. The shampoo is definitely more clarifying than I've been used to - my hair feels squeaky clean but also rough and tangled after using it. I typically have to use a medium-sized handful of shampoo to get a thorough lather all over my scalp, and that is the same with SEEN shampoo. I've noticed my scalp gets oily slightly sooner than before, but I typically have it up in a bun by day 3 anyway. The conditioner works well and has a decent amount of slip so that I can easily slide my wide-toothed comb through in the shower. I do get some "wet frizz" - probably a combination of the products containing glycerin and being protein-free (my hair doesn't really like glycerin, but it does like a small amount of protein such as silk protein; wheat/soy/milk protein make my scalp itchy). I have been smoothing/squishing in the conditioner from the ends up with my head upside down, rinsing my roots under the shower, combing through upside down with a wide-toothed comb, and then squishing a tiny bit more of conditioner into the ends and using a microfiber hair turban to dry some of the way before diffusing. Side note: this conditioner is NOT good as a co-wash, at least not on my hair type! I tried co-washing once with it, but it seemed like my hair just absorbed all the conditioner no matter how much I kept adding to my scalp, so there was no slip/lather at my scalp, even though I used a TON and scrubbed with my fingertips for probably 5-10 minutes, combed with my fingers through to the ends, and then rinsed thoroughly. By the end of that day, my scalp was super itchy and smelled bad, so I will not be trying that again. The blow-out creme works decently well as a curl cream (I squished about a nickel-sized amount into wet hair after the conditioner step while still in the shower, before using the hair turban), but it seemed a bit watery in consistency - I was expecting it to be much thicker. It does increase my blow-drying time by about 10-15 minutes compared to only leaving in some conditioner. I use my Xtava Orchid diffuser to blow-dry my hair upside down to about 75% dry and then air-dry the rest of the way. I think the trick to using the SEEN haircare routine will be squishing in enough conditioner to keep my hair moisturized, since the shampoo gives a very squeaky clean, but overall my waves & curls still look happy! The curls don't last quite as long as before simply because these products are protein-free, but that's honestly a small price to pay for my skin beginning to clear up. I'll just embrace the beachy, looser-waved look! I did go ahead and purchase the liter sizes, and after about 3 weeks of using SEEN, the acne along my cheekbones has all but disappeared and the rest of my face is improving. I'm excited to see what my long-term results are!

Love these little SEEN minis

These are perfect for the gym/yoga practice, as I don't enjoy lugging full-size products with me to the gym. SEEN is my go-to in general, as my skin is very sensitive and it's the only product I've found that doesn't cause me to breakout.
